75% Ecuador by Marks & Spencer

This is one of three bars I bought at Marks & Spencer. Two of them are from the single origin collection, and one is just a mix. Interestingly, the single origin bars are made in Italy, while the third is made in Switzerland.

I bought them more as a collector than as a chocolate connoisseur because I don’t have high hopes for mass-produced chocolate. But sometimes interesting exceptions to the rule happen, so I try everything, or almost everything, except the really plasticky bars that I skip.

Unfortunately, this bar wasn’t an exception. It's decently made and packaged, and the initial taste is okay. But the aftertaste leaves an unpleasant feeling in the mouth, making me want to wash it down rather than continue eating it. I don't remember the exact price, but it wasn’t a super cheap bar, like one and a half pounds per bar, so it did cost something. In my opinion, it's an average three-star chocolate. It's edible when there’s nothing better around, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Це одна з трьох плиток які я купив в Marks & Spencer, дві з них - це плитки з коллекції single origin і одна просто мікс причому що цікаво single origin плитки зроблені в Італії а третя зроблена в Швейцарії.
Але іноді трапляються цікаві виключення з правил, тому пробуємо все, або майже все, бо відверто пластилінові плитки я пропускаю.

На жаль, ця плитка не стала виключенням, вона наче непогано зроблена і упакована, і навіть спочатку смак непоганий. Але післясмак залишає неприємне відчуття в роті, не хочеться продовжувати їсти цей шоколад, хочеться його чимось запити.
Я не пам'ятаю скільки точно він коштував, але це не був шоколад по типу півтора фунта за плитку, тобто він щось таки коштував. Як на мене це початкові три зірки, їсти можна коли нічого кращого поряд немає, але другий раз сам я би його не купив.
