70% Venezuela by Lola Valerius

I got this bar as a gift (thank you, Auntie Olya!) - a respectable 70% and a respectable Venezuela, and it’s Luxembourgish chocolate.

Its shelf life was one of the shortest, which is why I’m opening it now - and as it turns out, that’s absolutely the right call, because the chocolate just sits in the cardboard box, not wrapped in anything. I’m not a fan of such packaging if the chocolate isn’t eaten right away. In this case, though, it’s still in quite good condition.

The bar is a bit thick and breaks rather poorly, but otherwise, it’s very nice - classic, simple, honest dark chocolate. You shouldn’t expect layers of flavor or subtle aftertastes here - at least I couldn’t find any, though I tried - but it’s still a good four stars. At least while the chocolate is fresh.

Термін придатності шоколаду був одним з найкоротших, тому я його й відкриваю — і, як виявляється, абсолютно не дарма, бо шоколад просто лежить у картонці, ні в що не загорнутий. Не дуже люблю такі упаковки, якщо шоколад не з’їдається одразу. Але в даному випадку він ще в досить хорошому стані.

Плитка товстувата, ламається не дуже гарно, але в іншому все дуже непогано — це класичний, простий, чесний чорний шоколад. Тут не варто шукати якихось тонів, напівтонів та присмаків — принаймні я їх не знайшов, хоч і шукав, але це все одно хороша четвірка. Принаймні поки шоколад свіжий.
