This is the last bar from Dick Taylor in my recent order. It's a 72% Madagascar chocolate with black figs. As far as I understand, the figs are only a topping, and the chocolate inside should be pure.
The aroma is expectedly tangy and a bit heavy, like most Dick Taylor bars. It smells so tangy that just the scent makes your mouth water, with a citrus-barberry-like note and a slight hint of figs, likely from the fig pieces themselves.
As for the taste, the acidity comes through first, very clear but not overly aggressive, moderate - more barberry-like than lemon or grapefruit. Then a smooth coffee bitterness follows. All of this is covered with a layer of delicate sweetness. The figs are only noticeable at the very end, and I'm not sure they add much to the flavor; probably not.
A great, high-quality chocolate, delicious as always - 4.5 stars.

Пахне очікувано кисло і трошки важкувато, як більшість плиток Dick Taylor. Пахне таким чимось настільки кислим, що від одного запаху виділяється слина, щось таке цитрусово-барбарисове і все-таки трошки просліджується запах фіг. Cкоріше за все від самих цих шматочків.
Тепер смак, кислота вистрибує першою, вона дуже чітка, але не сильно агресивна, помірна, все ж таки скоріше барбарисова ніж лимонна або грейпфрутова. А потім вже плавно додається така кавова гіркота. І все це покривається шаром ніжної солодкості. Фіги відчуваються тільки в самому кінці, не впевнений що вони багато чого додають, скоріше ні чим так.
Класний, якісний шоколад, смачно як завжди - 4,5 зірки.
