Being all in the same Boston, I went to L.A. Burdick, got a cup of hot chocolate for breakfast, recommend it, and bought 3 bars. They are pretty expensive there, but what can you do? Art requires sacrifice :)
This is the first of the bars - a blenf of different beans. It is interesting to note that this is the first bar on which I saw the percentage of cocoa content not in the form of one number, but in the form of an interval - 69% - 72% . I decided to mark the bar as 72%.
I really liked the packaging from the outside - an original solution with a ribbon twisted into two rings and I also did not like the plastic bag inside.
The smell is floral, sweet, which also caused no delight. I was already prepared for "meh", but I liked the taste more.
Quite sharp bitterness, almost immediately softened by cocoa butter. The taste is slightly bitter and acidic, but quite dense and pure chocolate taste without any side notes. Not bad. In the end, a bitter, slightly sharp aftertaste. Bars are not cheap, about 9 dollars, but perhaps this is one of the few for which I will pay those dollars again, well, at least I will consider it :) good 4 stars
Будучи все в тому ж Бостоні, я навідався в L.A. Burdick, поснідав чашкою гарячого шоколаду, рекомендую, і прикупив 3 плитки. Дорогі вони там, але що вдієш. Мистецтво потребує жертв.
Це перша з плиток – суміш різних бобів. Цікаво відзначити, що це перша плитка, на якій я побачив відсоток вмісту какао не у вигляді одного числа, а у вигляді інтервалу - 69%-72% . Я вирішив позначити плитку як 72%.
Мені дуже сподобалася упаковка зовні - оригінальне рішення з тасьмою, накрученою на два кільця і мені також не сподобався пластиковий пакет усередині.
Запах у плитки квітковий, солодкуватий, що теж захоплення не викликало. Я вже трохи налаштувався на "мее", але смак мені сподобався більше.
Досить різка гіркота, майже відразу пом'якшується какао-маслом. Смак трохи гіркуватий та кислуватий, але досить щільний та чистий шоколадний смак без домішок. Дуже непогано. Наприкінці гіркий, знову трохи різкуватий післясмак. плитка не дешева, близько 9 доларів, але мабуть одна з небагатьох за яку я заплачу їх ще раз, ну або, принаймні, подумаю про це :) хороші 4 зірки
