Recently arrived from California bar of Colombian origin. It was made by one of my favorites - Dick Taylor. Interestingly, all of their bars so far got fours from me, but they are fours that are almost fives and this quality does not change from bar to bar, as we saw with Cacao Sampaka.
Dick Taylor packaging is of very high quality, dense corrugated envelope. Inside, I would certainly prefer foil rather than plastic, but it is at least tightly sealed.
The bar has a traditional to Dick Taylor beautiful pattern and a rather dark chocolate color. The smell is on the heavy side of the spectrum. The taste is bitter and slightly smoked, burnt and slightly prune-ish. The color of the packaging goes very well with this chocolate. The ending is tart, but short. The taste as a whole is not quite ordinary, but it is worth a try. I can’t really express it in words, but I liked it and that's the main thing :) good 4 stars.
This bar has "Limited Release" on it, which probably means that after some time, we will no longer see this chocolate. But for sure we will see (and try) many other interesting bars from Dick Taylor.
Ця плитка колумбійського походження нещодавно прибула до нас з Каліфорнії. Зробили її одні з моїх фаворитів - Dick Taylor. Що цікаво, всі їхні плитки отримують від мене четвірки, але це такі четвірки, які майже п'ятірки і ця якість не змінюється від плитки до плитки, як вийшло наприклад з Cacao Sampaka.
Упаковка Dick Taylor дуже якісна, щільний рифлений конвертик усередині. Я б звичайно віддав перевагу фользі, а не пластику, але він хоча б щільно запаяний.
Плитка має традиційний візерунок та досить темний шоколадний колір. Запах на важкій стороні спектру. Смак гіркуватий, трохи копчено-горілий і трохи чорносливовий. Колір упаковки дуже личить цьому шоколаду. Закінчення терпкувате, але коротке. Смак загалом не зовсім звичайний, але спробувати його варто. В словах ясно пояснити його я не може, але він мені сподобався і це головне :) хороші 4 зірки.
Ця плитка із серії Limited Release, що ймовірно означає після закінчення якогось часу, ми більше не побачимо цей шоколад. Але, напевно, ми побачимо (і спробуємо) багато інших цікавих плиток від Dick Taylor.
