I had high hopes for Hotel Chocolat, and those hopes had lived on since 2017 when I first tried their chocolate, bought at the Copenhagen airport. At that time, my chocolate palate wasn’t yet fully developed, and the soft 85% cocoa chocolate probably seemed like a wonder to me. And although it’s not the easiest task, many manage it quite well. So, having the opportunity to visit a Hotel Chocolat store, I immediately felt disappointment because there was almost no pure chocolate in this kingdom of sugar. I bought two packs of batons, as they call them - 70% and 85%. The kids also ordered hot chocolate, but it was so sweet that no one finished it, and we just left it there.
Today, I opened the pack with 70% batons and concluded that this is a rather mediocre three-star chocolate. There's absolutely nothing interesting about it. The price is in no way justified. You can find similar chocolate in almost any store for much less, so it's a weak three stars. But I would recommend people eat other chocolate, although perhaps in England, considering the number of these shops in London, it might be hard to find an alternative.
В мене було багато надій на Hotel Chocolat, і надії ці жили з 2017 коли я вперше спробував їх шоколад куплений у аеропорту Копенгагена. Тоді мій шоколадний смак був ще не сильно розвиненим і м'який шоколад з 85% какао мабуть здався мені дивом. І хоча це дійсно не сама проста задача, але багато хто з нею справляється досить непогано. Тож отримавши змогу зайти в магазин Hotel Chocolat я майже одразу відчув розчарування, тому що чистого шоколаду в цьому царстві цукру майже немає. Я взяв дві упаковки батонів (Batons), як вони їх називають, 70% і 85%. Також діти замовили собі гарячий шоколад, але він був настільки солодкий, що ніхто його не допив і всі просто залишили все це там.
Сьогодні я відкрив цю пачку з 70% батонами і констатую що це доволі посередній трієчний шоколад, тут немає абсолютно нічого цікавого. Ціна його ніяким чином не виправдовується.
Схожого шоколаду можна купити майже в будь-якому магазині за набагато менші кошти, тому це слабенька трійка. Але я би радив людям їсти інший шоколад, хоча можливо в Англії, враховуючи кількість цих магазинів в Лондоні, знайти якусь альтернативу важко.
