In front of us is another bar from Zotter’s signature cocoa blend — Opus. Honestly, I’m already a bit confused about which year this blend belongs to, because it was clearly produced in 2025, even though we’re tasting it in 2026. And back in 2025 we already had a 72% Opus bar. So let’s do what car marketing does and call this one Opus 2026.
Unlike the previous bar, this one has 77% cocoa, sourced from Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Peru, and Uganda. A very respectable lineup of countries known for great cocoa.
The 77% is noticeable: the bar is quite bitter and not very sweet, but extremely tasty. If you let it melt slowly, it becomes slightly astringent and leaves a pleasant milky-caramel sweetness with a hint of bitterness at the end. You can read about all the flavors and aromas the producer claims to find here; as usual, for me it’s much simpler. I don’t catch all those notes, but I can’t argue with the fact that this is delicious.
It really sits perfectly between my favorite 72% bars and my also-beloved 82% bars 🙂
With enough experience behind me, I immediately bought 10 bars, knowing this is probably one of the best bars Zotter has been making for years — and they’ve never disappointed me with Opus. So unsurprisingly, this is another solid five stars from Zotter.

На відміну від попередньої плитки, тут уже 77% какао, і боби походять з Колумбії, Еквадору, Гватемали, Перу та Уганди. Дуже респектабельний список країн — виробників хорошого какао.
77% добре відчуваються: плитка доволі гірка і не дуже солодка, але при цьому неймовірно смачна. Якщо повільно розсмоктувати, вона трохи в’яже і залишає приємну молочно-карамельну солодкість з гірчинкою в кінці. Можна, звісно, почитати, які смаки й аромати заявляє виробник, але в мене, як завжди, все простіше: я не ловлю там усього цього букета, зате не можу не погодитись — це дуже смачно.
Це справді щось рівно посередині між моїми улюбленими плитками на 72% і моїми ж улюбленими плитками на 82% 🙂
Маючи вже достатньо досвіду, я одразу купив 10 плиток, знаючи, що це, мабуть, одна з найкращих плиток, які Zotter робить роками — і Opus ще жодного разу мене не розчарував. Тож цілком закономірно — це чергова п’ятірка від Zotter.
