This bar was purchased in either Versailles or Paris. It’s a 70% chocolate made with beans from Tahiti, and I was genuinely impressed by its packaging and the pattern on the bar itself.
The chocolate itself was a bit less impressive to my taste. It’s good and offers an interesting flavor profile — something like flowers, fruit, and some spices. Those spices, for me, stood out beyond what would be an ideal flavor profile. There’s also a hint of aged or stale note - maybe the bar really was a bit aged, or maybe it’s just part of the chocolate’s own character, but I personally didn’t enjoy that aspect.
Overall, this is a solid three stars, but it’s getting close to a four. Definitely worth a try.
Цю плитку я придбав у Версалі або в Парижі. Це 70% шоколад з Таїті, який дуже сподобався мені своєю упаковкою і візерунком на самій плитці.
Сам шоколад сподобався мені трохи менше. Він непоганий, доволі цікавий у плані смаків — щось як квіти, фрукти та якісь спеції. Оці спеції, як на мене, трохи вибиваються з мого ідеального профілю. І ще є трошки такого лежалого присмаку — можливо, він дійсно полежав, а можливо, це один зі смаків самого шоколаду, але мені він не дуже сподобався.
У сумі, це все-таки три зірки, але це щось, що наближається до четвірки. Вартий уваги.
