I bought this bar of 75% Peruvian chocolate in Paris. When I saw the name AlterEco, I immediately remembered the chocolate of the same name that I bought in America and that we had already tasted. After a little detective investigation, already being at home, I found out that these are two different companies, and this French AlterEco was founded first. They also own the website www.altereco.com. And Alter Eco, already familiar to us, lives on the website www.alterecofoods.com and was founded later.
Of course, this is all interesting, but let's go back to chocolate :)
This bar was sold in some supermarket and quite cheaply, something like €2.75, that is, less than three euros. For comparison, Alter Eco, the other one, in America costs something around $5-7.
The packaging is not bad, a thick cardboard envelope and foil. There's also lots of text inside about how they are saving the world, everything is ecological, and it seems that everything is fine, but the chocolate itself is not tasty. It really shouldn't cost more than 2-3 euros and it resembles a really classic cheap chocolate with a not very pleasant aftertaste. I don't know what the reason is, I don't see anything weird in the ingredients. But maybe they don't use high-quality vanilla, but just vanillin. And that metallic vanillin taste, or whatever it is, it really ruins the whole chocolate. So it is, in my opinion, weak three stars. It's not two, but considering that France has tons of delicious chocolate, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this one.

Після невеликого детективного розслідування вже перебуваючи вдома, я з'ясував що це дві різні компанії, і цей французьський AlterEco був засновний першим. Також воним володіють сайтом www.altereco.com. А вже знайомий нам Alter Eco, живе на сайті www.alterecofoods.com і був заснований пізніше.
Це все звісно цікаво, але повернемося до шоколаду :)
Ця плитка продавалася в якомусь супермаркеті і досить задешево, щось на кшталт €2,75, ну тобто менше трьох євро. Для порівняння Alter Eco в Америці коштує щось в районі $5-7.
Упаковочка непогана, щільний картонний конвертик і фольга. Також всередині написано які вони молодці і рятують світ, все в них екологічно, і наче все добре, але сам шоколад не смачний. Він дійсно не повинен коштувати більше ніж 2-3 євро і нагадує дійсно класичний дешевий шоколад з не дуже приємним післясмаком. Не знаю в чому причина, в складі я не бачу нічого такого. Але можливо вони використовують не якісну ваніль, а просто ванілін. І оцей металевий присмак ваніліну, або що це таке, він дійсно псує весь шоколад. Тож це, як на мене, слабенькі три зірки. Це не два, але враховуючи що у Франції є ну просто море смачного шоколаду, купувати цей я б нікому не радив.
