Last time I tasted Scharffen Berger, it was 82% bar, which was just okay - 3 stars. I decided to try another one of the species, this time 62% bar.
The packaging is very similar, except for the color. The bar itself looks almost identical, but a little lighter. And there was an issue with the foil. Apparently packaging machine "got lost in thoughts" and put the bar on foil not properly. In the end, only four-fifths wrapped in foil, the rest is without it. What does not add to manufacturer's honor and is likely to reduce the shelf life of the bar. Anyway.
The smell is acidic and sweet at the same time. Not very pleasant, as for me.
On the palate, you can feel promised on the packaging honey and in the middle citrus-like acidity - lemon or grapefruit - appears. But still there is something additional, not natural, at least for me. Not chocolate.
It's edible, but it's not fun, 2 stars.
Востаннє, коли я пробував Scharffen Berger, це була 82% плитка, яка була так собі - 3 зірки. Я вирішив випробувати ще одного представника цієї родини, цього разу 62% плитку.
Упаковка дуже схожа, крім кольору. Сама плитка виглядає ідентично, хіба що трохи світліше. А ось із фольгою вийшла накладка. Мабуть, пакувальний автомат "задумався" і плитка лягла не рівно. У результаті у фольгу загорнуто чотири п'яті, решта просто так. Що не додає честі виробнику і швидше за все зменшує термін придатності плитки. Ну та гаразд.
Запах кислуватий, і водночас солодкуватий. Не дуже приємний, як на мене.
У смаку відразу відчувається обіцяний на упаковці мед і до середини з'являється чимось схожа на цитруси кислинка - лимон або грейпфрут. Але ще там є щось неприродне, принаймні для мене. Чи не шоколадне.
Їсти можна, але без задоволення, 2 зірки.
