Luxembourgish chocolate Oberweis. We are already familiar with it - we have already eaten two bars, this will be the third one. And in the wine fridge I still have 5 more different bars. This is the party brought this summer from Luxembourg.
Oberweis changed the packaging and, as for me, not for the better. Before there were plastic boxes, now it's paper with plastic innards. We saw a similar "know-how" with another Luxembourgish bar Araguani by Namur. Apparently this is their local trend. Everything would be fine, but this paper envelope does not close tightly and, accordingly, smells, moisture and everything else can easily reach chocolate, which is a big minus for me. That is, you need to eat chocolate preferably on the spot, and not to store it, as I do. But in my case, when I buy a lot of chocolate during travels and, for obvious reasons, I can't eat it all at once, it turns out that I keep it for a while. Well, okay, repeating the mantra "Eat Oberweis right in the store," let's get back to the chocolate.
It looks, in general, classically, all the same rectangular pieces with Oberweis monogram. The smell is of chocolate. On the packaging, the main profile is declared as cocoa and it corresponds to my taste sensations, because the basic taste is honest, pure chocolate, quite good one. At first I chewed a piece and I liked it. It certainly without zest, I did not feel any acid, nothing else, just a good dense chocolate. When I allowed one piece to dissolve on my tongue, near the end there was acidity and a little of astringency. The acidity wasn't like berry or flower or even citrus, but it's there, though it is very imperceptible.
Chocolate earned its four stars, but the packaging gets only two!
Люксембурзький шоколад Oberweis, ми з ним вже знайомі - з'їли вже дві плитки, це буде третя. І у холодильнику у мене ще різних штук 5 знайдеться. Це партія привезена цього літа з Люксембургу. Oberweis поміняв упаковку і, як на мене, не на краще. До цього були пластикові коробочки зараз папір із пластиковою начинкою. Подібне "ноу-хау" ми бачили у люксесбурзької ж плитки Araguani by Namur. Мабуть, це їхній місцевий тренд. Все б нічого, але цей паперовий конверт не закривається герметично і, відповідно, запахи, волога та все інше проходять до шоколаду без перешкод, що як на мене великий мінус. Тобто, шоколад потрібно їсти бажано на місці, а не зберігати, як це роблю я. Але у моїй ситуації, коли я купую багато шоколаду у подорожах та зі зрозумілих причин не можу з'їсти його весь одразу, виходить що я зберігаю його якийсь час. Ну та гаразд, повторюючи мантру "Їсти Oberweis прямо в магазині", перейдемо до шоколаду.
Виглядає він загалом класично, все ті ж прямокутні шматочки з монограмою Oberweis. Запах шоколадний. На упаковці основний профіль заявлено як какао і це відповідає моїм смаковим відчуттям, тому що основний смак це чесний чистий шоколад, досить непоганий. Спершу я розжував шматочок і шоколад мені сподобався. Він звичайно без цікавинки, я не відчув ні кислоти, нічого іншого, просто гарний щільний шоколад. Коли я дозволив одному шматочку розстанути у мене на язиці, то ближче до кінця виявилася кислинка і трохи терпкості. Кислинка не ягідна, не квіткова і навіть не цитрусова, але вона там є, хоч вона дуже й непомітна.
Шоколад свої чотири зірки заробив, але за упаковку ставлю двійку!
