Two days ago in the morning, I opened a Ukrainian chocolate bar. The most chocolaty chocolate at the moment - 99% cocoa. Before that I tried 99% chocolate only once and wasn't too delighted. I got this bar as a gift, wouldn't dare to buy it myself. And respectively, I did expect nothing interesting.
Packaging looks strange, very pathetic and ridiculous. The bar is 50 grams only, and the size of the packaging looks if there is at least 150 grams in it. Gigantomania of the first order. Custom pattern, the bar itself is very thin.
Smell as expected is acidic and bitter. But! There is also a little bit of vanilla and... sweetness. Indeed it smells as if there is something sweet there.
Taste, surprisingly, turned out to be a nice one. Bitter, slightly acidic and oily, rather tart and astringent, but I did not want to spit it out :)
I felt some vanilla. There's acidity, but at times less than I expected - a definite plus, as for me.
Antoine, my colleague, said that for the chocolate with 99% of cocoa the taste is not bad at all, and I can not disagree with him. It's definitely not chocolate for every day, but, to my surprise, it gets 4 stars.
P.S. My two year old daughter also tried and liked it. She asked for more :)
Позавчора зранку відкрив плитку українського шоколаду. Найбільша шоколадна шоколадка на даний момент - 99% какао. До цього я пробував 99% шоколад лише одного разу. Залишився не в захваті. Ця плитка дісталася у подарунок, сам би я її купити не наважився. І нічого цікавого я, відповідно, не очікував.
Упаковка виглядає дивно, до кумедного пафосно. У плитці 50 грам, а упаковка розміром ніби там 150 грам як мінімум. Гігантоманія чистої води. Візерунок нестандартний, сама плитка дуже тонка.
Запах як і очікувалося кислувато-гіркий. Але! Там ще є трохи ванілі та... солодкість. Справді, пахне так, ніби там є щось солодке.
Смак, на диво, виявився дуже непоганим. Кисловатий, гіркий, трохи маслянистий, досить терпкий, але виплюнути не хотілося :)
Трохи відчувається ваніль. Кислота є, але її там у рази менше, ніж я очікував. Безперечний плюс, як на мене.
Антуан, мій колега, сказав, що для 99% шоколаду смак не поганий, і я не можу з ним не погодиться. Це точно не шоколад на кожен день, але, на мій подив, він отримує 4 зірки.
П.С. моя дворічна донька теж пробувала і їй сподобалося. Вона просила добавку :)
