German bar of pure dark chocolate. 70%, all is serious. I certainly tried Divine chocolate before, and my memory keeps telling me that chocolate was okay, but nothing special. But, of course, I do not remember it for sure. It's time to taste it again and record the results in the report :)
It's quite easy to find Divine, it's present in many stores. This bar was purchased for something around $3.
Packaging looks standardly German - modest, but with style. Paper and foil. On the inner side of the packaging paper there's a story of one of the farmers growing cocoa beans. And, of course, about fair trade.
I have a dual feeling in relation to this type of symbols and stories. On the one hand, I support fairness and it is good that the farmers do not get cheated. But on the other hand, if the chocolate is not delicious, the fair trade advertising will not help. There is a lot of chocolate, which does not say anything about fair trade, but it is very tasty. We choose it. It's good if it also mentions fair trade, but I buy it not because of this. Somehow I got distracted :)
So the chocolate. The smell seemed to me sour-bitter. A bit of originality in the bar design - besides stylized Divine logo, there are also different symbols printed on chocolate pieces. Same symbols are on the packaging paper. It looks nice.
Taste, alas, a bit disappointed me. Sharp, coffee-like bitter and sour. No, don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but not good either. And no assurances of fair trade there can change it. It's not enough to buy cocoa beans fairly, they also have to be turned into delicious chocolate. Divine made a mediocre one, definitely not divine. ★★★☆☆

Re-tasted chocolate and the rating stays same - 3 stars. Now instead of "contains milk" packaging has "Vegan" sign.
Німецька плитка чорного чистого шоколаду. 70%, все серйозно. Я пробував Divine раніше, і в пам'яті відклалося, що шоколад був непоганим. Але й нічого особливого. Але точно, звичайно, я не пам'ятаю. Настав час продегустувати його ще раз і занести результати до протоколу :)
Divine знайти досить просто, він зустрічається у багатьох магазинах. Цю плитку я купив за щось близько $3.
Упаковка стандартно-німецька – скромно, але зі смаком. Папір та фольга. На внутрішній стороні упаковки історія одного з фермерів, які вирощують какао-боби. І звичайно, про те, що для виробництва цієї плитки все було куплено чесно. У мене подвійне почуття щодо такого роду написів та історій. З одного боку, я за "справедливість" і це добре, що фермерів не обманюють. Але з іншого боку, якщо шоколад не смачний, реклама чесної торгівлі справі не допоможе. Є багато шоколаду, на якому не написано нічого про чесну торгівлю, але він є смачним. І ми обираємо його. Непогано, якщо на ньому ще й написано про чесну торгівлю, але я точно куплю його не через це. Щось мене повело убік :)
Отже, шоколад. Запах мені здався кислувато-гірким. Трохи оригінальності в самій плитці - на шматочках, окрім стилізованого напису Divine, є ще й різні картиночки. Вони красуються і на упаковці. Виглядає мило.
Смак, на жаль, мене трохи розчарував. Різкий, кавово-гірко-кислий. Ні, він не поганий, але й не добрий. І жодні запевнення у чесній торгівлі тут нічого не вирішують. Мало купити боби чесно, потрібно вміти зробити з них смачний шоколад. У Divine він вийшов середній, точно не божественний. ★★★☆☆

Шоколад переатестований, оцінка залишається в силі – 3 зірки. Тепер замість напису "містить молоко" на упаковці значок "веганський".
