We bought this 88% chocolate bar at Milan airport, and it has almost the same name - Barati & Milano. I got it because some time ago, we already had another bar from this brand, and it was quite good for the taste I had back then. It was less than 88%, more precisely 70%, and it had coffee in it, and now let's try something more hardcore and pure.
The bar cost around five-six euros, not too much but not too little either. Considering it's an airport, you could probably find it cheaper outside the airport. The bar traveled back with us to America.
We're opening it today on this rainy Sunday morning. Classic, as far as I understand, for this brand pattern, simple pieces with the logo in the middle, breaks very well.
The appearance of the bar is a bit aged, and it seems it's not our trip that aged it but rather it was lying in the airport for some time. By the way, it doesn't smell heavy, and by the smell, it's hard to tell it's 88% cocoa. The taste is also not as sharp as you would expect from 88%, I've had 85% chocolate bars that were much more bitter and sharp, here it's quite mild.
Very short aftertaste, but overall it is okay, it's something like a good strong three stars or a weak four stars. I usually rate lower, but this softness bribes me, so let's settle on four stars but with a minus.
Цю плиточку 88% шоколаду ми купили в аеропорту Мілана і вона майже так само і називається - Barati & Milano. Купив я її тому що колись давно інша шоколадка цього бренду вже була в нас і вона була непоганою як на той смак що я мав тоді. Це було менше ніж 88%, а точніше 70% і там була кава, а тепер спробуємо щось хардкорніше і чисте.
Плитка коштувала щось біля п'яти-шести євро, не дуже багато, але й не дуже мало. І враховуючи що це аеропорт, скоріш за все її можна знайти дешевше поза межами аеропорту. Плитка перелетіла з нами назад до Америки.
Відкриваємо її сьогодні цим дощовим ранком неділі. Класична, наскільки я розумію, для цього бренду розмітка, простенькі шматочки з логотипом посередині, ламається дуже добре.
Вид у плитки трошечки лежалий і мені здається це не наша подорож так її зістарила, а скоріш за все вона лежала вже певний час в аеропорті. Пахне вона, до речі, не важко, і по запаху важко сказати що там 88% какао. Смак теж не різкий як для 88, я їв 85% шоколадки які були набагато гірчиші і різкіші, тут доволі м'яко.
Дуже короткий післясмак, але в цілому може бути, це щось таке як хороша сильна трійка або слабенька четвірочка. Зазвичай я ставлю нижчу оцінку, але тут трошки підкупає ця м'якість, тож зупинимось на четверці але з мінусом.
